Located on the southern coastline of the Gulf of Aqaba, Sharm el Sheikh lies central to the Famous Red Sea and the mountains of Mount Sinai. Silky, sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and its tropical climates, is one of the main reasons as to why Sharm el Sheikh has become a thriving place, filled with tourists, flocking to the city.
One enticing and desirable excursions there is available to see and do has to be a visit to the Gulf of Suez to view the underwater wrecks and breathe taking sights of the coral reef and its almost perfect formations. Such shallow waters enable you to see down one metre deep, witnessing the flamboyant displays of fish, all unique in size, shape and shade.
Defiantly worth a visit, one of Sharm El Sheikhs main Bays, Na´ama bay has to be the place to go! Go for a bite to eat at a variety of restaurants, from everyday food to exquisite cuisine. Fine dining, for two, in one of the classiest restaurants will cost you around 200LE, the equivalent to £20! – And that's including drinks!
Also located on the bay, for all those in need of a bit of retail therapy, is the vast amounts of shops, selling jewellery, perfume, clothes.. The list goes on. But, a word of warning… be prepared to haggle- the shop owners are used to many people bargaining down the prices and therefore tend to up the original cost of the products than necessary!
Extraordinary and vibrant bars fill Na´ama bay and its surroundings. The majority of these bars transform depending on the time of day, starting off as day bars, meeting places for socialising with others, (even expats) sports bars, shisha bars and elegant cocktail bars then miraculously modify to awesome nightclubs, open until the early hours- Designed purely for the party animals out there!
