Santa Claus! It is quite a remarkable name. When hearing this name, everyone forms their own image of the white-bearded bringer of Christmas cheer. Although we all have our own image of Santa Claus that may greatly differ from others, one thing is certain: Santa Claus represents Finnishness, warmth, joy and the magic of Christmas.

Visit Lapland and meet Father Christmas on your holiday. Select your trip to Lapland, from 1 day trips to a variety of short break holidays.

Lapland, a beautiful land of silent snow fall and polar twilight. An unspoilt vista of snow-clad pine trees, grazing reindeer and cosy log cabins where flickering log fires ensure the warmest of welcomes

The real Santa Claus lives here and it's home too to Arktikum, a superb museum that brings to life the whole story of the region.

WHAT TO DO ON YOUR TRIP TO MAGICAL LAPLAND

This truly magical tour in snowy Lapland has something for all the family.

At a reindeer farm meet the gentle animals essential to Lapland's traditional culture. Enjoy a reindeer sleigh ride across crisp snow (see if you can resist singing "Jingle Bells") and both adults and children can go snowmobiling. When you cross the Arctic Circle you will receive a special diploma.

Meet and play with Santa's special elves Snowy Bowy, Tricky Dicky, Speedy Sam and Noisy Nod, as well as meeting the man himself, Santa of course. Activities will include husky, reindeer and skidoo rides and as with all our other tours we will provide you with free souvenir licences.

A festive treat
You'll have lunch at Mrs Claus's log restaurant, with plenty of tasty treats to give you energy for the day's fun activities.

Riding reindeer
You couldn't visit Santa without popping in to say hello to Rudolph and his furry pals at Snow Village, you'll take a sleigh driving lesson to get your very own licence, sit around the fire with local herders and hear the elves tell the story of Santa's special sleigh-pulling reindeer.

At home with the huskies
You'll meet Santa's cute and fuzzy huskies and feel their speed as you drive a husky drawn sleigh. A real musher will teach you all about the dogs and explain how they're trained and those adorable elves will tell the exciting story of how the huskies saved Christmas.
